History
The leadership story of JO CINTRA TAILOR MADE TOURS® in the travel industry of Santa Catarina and Brazil began in 2013, when a seasoned professional with 30 years of experience decided to start an agency with a distinctive market approach. That is how Jo Cintra founded JO CINTRA TAILOR MADE TOURS®, offering personalized travel services, receptive tourism in Santa Catarina, and professional events.
How it all began
Jo Cintra discovered early on that her path would reach beyond the place where she was born. At 16, she began her career at a travel agency, where she had her first contact with the universe that would define her professional life. Her first trip sparked an interest in cultures, people, and experiences that go beyond destinations.
Over the years, she built her career through hands-on experience, working through every stage of the tourism sector, from operations to planning complete itineraries. Her experience in different agencies, combined with an internship at an airline and her move to Florianópolis, broadened her market perspective and strengthened her relationship with travelers.
After years in the field, she decided to deepen her knowledge of tourism and lived in London, where direct contact with a multicultural environment consolidated her global vision. Back in Brazil, she continued to develop ventures and face the transformations of the sector, keeping her company active through crises, technological changes, and new consumer behaviors.
Driven by the restlessness that had always accompanied her, Jo Cintra decided to bet on what she believed to be the future of tourism: personalized trips based on relationships, attentive listening, and specialized curation. That is how Jo Cintra Tailor Made Tours was born.
Today, alongside a committed team, the agency is recognized for its work in high-end tourism, with a notable presence in global networks such as Leading Hotels of the World and Virtuoso. More than planning trips, Jo Cintra has built a community of travelers who trust her perspective, her experience, and the careful way each journey is designed.
